COVID-19 Procedures & Policies
COVID-19 Procedures & Policies for River Romp
- Everyone wears a mask, buff or other approved face covering while on land and in proximity to others.
- Stay a fathom apart – that’s sailor lingo for 6’, please. Boats and humans both.
- Use hand sanitizer and wash your hands frequently to help limit spread.
A First Aid Station and a limited Quarantine area will be set-up near the fenced compound at the sailing center and will be manned by volunteers throughout the regatta weekend.
All competitors & coaches are required to provide an emergency contact and phone number in their registrations. Should any competitor need to come back to the beach and choose not to sail again either day, his/her parent will be called for immediate pick-up.
Clubs will be assigned to a specific location at the venue and should still mark roughly 6’ of distance between boats. Signage will help clubs locate their designated areas.
Coaches &/or designated officials for each participating club will check temperatures of all competitors before checking-in the sailors on Saturday, and at their designated locations on Sunday morning prior to the first race. Any competitor or coach displaying symptoms commonly associated with the virus should immediately withdraw and be returned to their parents for the remainder of the event.
In compliance with County restrictions there will be no tents, tables or chairs set up for congregating. Group socializing or activities in the park are discouraged and could jeopardize the completion of the regatta. A reminder that everyone registering for the event through Regatta Network was asked to sign and comply with the COVID waiver and policy.
All documents, maps, diagrams and updated information, including results, will be posted on the electronic Official Notice Board. See www.edisonsailingcenter.org website.
A competitor, coach, or anyone known to the competitor/coach who comes into contact with someone who exhibits symptoms of the virus must contact Stephanie Webb, Regatta Coordinator, or her designee as soon as possible ( 239-454-5114)
