Homeschool Program
Education Powered by Wind, Water, and Wonder
At Edison Sailing Center, our Homeschool Program turns screen time into sunscreen and classrooms into real-world adventures. Designed for curious, active learners, this hands-on program gets students out on the water and fully engaged in experiential learning. Instead of sitting behind a desk, homeschoolers learn by doing—building confidence, independence, and practical skills in a dynamic outdoor environment. Students explore a wide range of on-the-water experiences, including: Sailing fundamentals, Responsible powerboat operation, Fishing skills and marine awareness, River adventures on the Caloosahatchee River. Each day blends education and adventure, encouraging problem solving, teamwork, and leadership through real-life challenges and exploration. Whether navigating a sailboat, learning safe boating practices, or discovering the ecosystems of our local waterways, students are constantly learning, adapting, and growing. Rooted in our core pillars of Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience, the Edison Sailing Center Homeschool Program fosters a love of learning, a connection to nature, and skills that last a lifetime—both on and off the water.
